Get the Arizona Paperwork Straight Before Pickup
Arizona sellers should confirm the ownership documents before the RV changes hands. The Arizona Department of Transportation’s selling guidance says a seller should transfer the title, submit a Sold Notice, and remove the license plate before the new owner takes possession. Do not assume every RV can use Arizona’s online title-transfer option. The state’s eTitle Transfer eligibility rules apply only to qualifying passenger vehicles and specifically exclude trailers. That distinction matters for travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, and other towable RVs.
If the title is missing, a lien is still recorded, an estate is involved, or more than one owner appears on the title, disclose that before pickup is scheduled. Those situations may require additional documentation or a different transfer process.
Where the RV Is Parked Matters at Pickup
An RV at a paved storage lot is a different removal job from a fifth wheel behind a residential gate or a non-running motorhome on rural property. Free towing is included with accepted purchases, but the vehicle still has to be accessible for the equipment needed to move it.
Before pickup, photograph the driveway or storage aisle, gate width, hitch or engine area, nearby vehicles, surface conditions, slope, and available maneuvering space. If the RV is at a resort, park, repair shop, or storage facility, confirm that you have authority to release it and share any gate hours or property rules that could affect removal.
