Alabama RV Title Rules Depend on the Type and Age of the RV
Alabama does not apply one title-age rule to every recreational vehicle.
The Alabama Department of Revenue says a motor vehicle not more than 35 model years old that otherwise falls under Alabama’s registration and title requirements generally requires an Alabama certificate of title. Travel trailers and folding or collapsible camping trailers not more than 20 model years old require titles under the department’s published guidance. Check Joint Ownership Before Pickup
When Alabama title paperwork involves joint ownership, the wording between the names matters.
ALDOR’s title-application guidance says that when joint owners are joined by “or,” one owner is required to sign the title application. When they are joined by “and,” both owners are required to sign the application.
